本記事では “be used to (something)” の意味と使い方をまとめます。
be used to (something) の意味とは？
“be used to (something)” は「～に慣れている」という意味の英語表現です。
たとえば
“She is used to dealing with complaints.” は「彼女はクレーム対応に慣れている」
“I’m still not used to the new workplace.” は「まだ新しい職場には慣れていない」
という意味になります。
“used to (動詞の原形)”「以前は～したものだ」 と混同しないよう注意しましょう。
