さて、今日も “月” に関する英語表現です！
“I’m over the moon.” の意味、わかりますか？
今日は 幸せな気持ちを表す”月”に関する英語表現 “over the moon” について、その意味と使い方をエリンに教えてもらったのでまとめますよ！
“Over the moon” とは
“be over the moon” は「月を超えるくらい幸せな状態」のことをいいます。
たとえば “I’m over the moon about my son’s marriage.” といえば「息子の結婚のことが月に飛んでくらい嬉しい」という意味になります。

If you say that you are over the moon, you mean that you are very pleased about something.

Extremely happy.
なんてほっこりする表現なんでしょう。
